Good Tuesday morning West Monroe. These are your Daily Announcements.

Homecoming court applications are on gorebs.org now. Make sure you read all information thoroughly to be aware of meetings and deadlines.

FCS/FCA will start meeting in the lobby of the new gym this Wednesday, 8/24 at 7:15. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Congratulations to the WM Lady Rebel Freshman and JV teams on their wins versus the Lady Chiefs! Winning all sets played. Next game will be at Ouachita HS this Thursday starting at 4:30! Come out and support!

Interacters are ready to begin picking a few more students to add to the Interact Club. This year, to get your name on the Interact ballot you must bring a school supply for a needy student at West Monroe High School. Freshmen applicants should bring 2 large packs of loose-leaf paper, Sophomores should bring a 3-subject notebook, Juniors should bring a pack of both pencils and pens and senior applicants should bring a 3-ring binder. All school supplies should be delivered to Mrs. Knox in room 3109 by Friday, August 26th to have your name added to the ballot and then last year's club members will vote to choose this year's new members. You will be notified the following week if you are elected when you receive your giant I on initiation day.

School photos will be taken on Tuesday, August 23rd through Thursday, August 25th during your English class. Please ask your English teacher which day you will be photographed. Teachers - please come down to the auditorium to have your photo taken on one of the picture days. You will be put in the front of the line...so come on down! The students love to see their teachers AND COACHES in the yearbook.

Coach Osborne will start a driver's ed class beginning on Thursday September 8th after school at 3:45. Class days and times are on gorebs.org, they will vary each day. Classes will meet upstairs in the football field house. You can start signing up on gorebs.org today. The cost is 295.00 and if you have any questions you can go see Coach Osborne in the old gym between 7:15 - 11:30.

4-H Club enrollment is now open! See outside Ms. Russell's room 6104 for information on joining. Enrollment ends September 14th.

The West Monroe High School Junior Civitan Club will have a meeting on Tuesday, August 30th, at 3:15 in Mrs. Beach's room (6206). This meeting is for students interested in becoming members and returning members. All grade levels are welcome!

Athletic passes are good for all regular season home games for the amazing low price of $30. Plus you will be allowed in the Rebel Nation student section. Athletic passes are now on sale in Coach Arledge's room 3102 and Coach McDuffie's room 5207. Or you can buy them online.

West Monroe High School will administer the ASVAB Career Inventory on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Sign up for this FREE test with your U.S. History teacher by Friday, September 9 th. Seniors who either did not test last year or would like to retest to improve their score may do so. They should sign up with Mrs. Corie Williams by Friday, September 9th, or with any U.S. History teacher.

Students interested in joining Student Diversity League can fill out an application with Mrs. Anders in room 4204. Applications are due by September 4th and dues must be paid by September 16th in order to receive a club t-shirt.

If you are interested in joining student council please see the student council link on gorebs.org under the extracurriculars tab. You can also scan the QR codes that are posted around campus. Either way you can find out more information about the club and access the application to join as a member or as a freshman class officer.

Tryouts for the Tennis team will be held on Thursday August 25th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at the WMHS tennis courts. Please stop by the old gym before August 23rd to sign up with Coach Green.
